Mercedes Cassano

Repatriation Specialist

Mercedes is originally from Spain and  joined the company in 2007. She has over 20 years experience dealing with repatriations and has dealt with over 10.000 repatriations becoming therefore well known to Funeral Homes and Assistance companies worldwide. Since working for Albin International, She has managed to secure new contracts with International Assistance and Insurance Companies as well as negotiating even better terms with agents overseas. Mercedes spent 5 years living in Saudi Arabia and Libya where she learned a little Arabic.

Beatriz Watts

Administrator

Beatriz was born in Guadalajara in Mexico.  Before joining Albin International, she had spent much of her career working in education and management.  She spent three years in Rome and seven years in Dublin before moving to London in 2006. She speaks English, Spanish and Italian.

In Mexico, she set up and run a school. She lectured in a MA in Education and provided management consultancy to some business. She managed a university student’s residence in Dublin. She has worked with families at a community centre in south London and organised international events in Russia, Australia, Lithuania, Ireland, Mexico and Hong Kong.

She has a degree in educational psychology and three master’s degrees in: cognitive sciences; education and training management; and philosophy and humanities. She has a particular interest in supporting bereaved families.

Silvano Amato

Finance Manager

Tom qualified as a chartered accountant in 1979.He has worked in the private sector between 1979 and 2009 for two major PLC groups in the construction and housebuilding sectors. A career change led him to Albin International. The Albin International business has expanded significantly by securing a greater share of the market and Tom was appointed in response to the increase in workload and to provide greater financial support and experience to the business.

Willem Blekkenhorst

Repatriation Specialist

Willem was born in Amsterdam. After gaining a degree in history he moved to London to pursue a career in management.

Willem has been appointed as Repatriation Specialist. He is a valued member of the team and is fluent in Dutch and German.

Emerson De Luca

Managing Director

Emerson has been with the company since 2005 working in corporate development and social responsibility projects, finance and also assisting with repatriations worldwide including being involved in the Spanish Air Disaster, August 2008.  Emerson has a Masters in Globalisation, has managing and counselling background, also speaks five languages and has travelled to most parts of the World on behalf of the company to assure our clients that the service we are offering is of the highest standard.

Graham Cook

Repatriation Specialist

Graham joined the company in 1987 studying initially under Desmond C. Henley in the embalming department and then advancing through funeral directing into international repatriation where he was actively involved in major incidents such as the ‘Marchioness river boat disaster’. He was one of the youngest candidates to sit the National Association of Funeral Directors Diploma in Funeral Directing. He is qualified as a BTEC assessor which enables others within the funeral and repatriation industry in turn to develop their skills. Graham rejoined the company in 2004 as a repatriation specialist. Since joining he has overseen the Ministry of Defence contract which has resulted in working extensively in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Danny Collins

Repatriation Specialist

Danny has been employed by the Albin Group since  2003.

During this period Danny has gained extensive knowledge and experience of the funeral industry.

His most recent position within F A Albin & Sons was as funeral arranger.

Following the enthusiasm and promise he has shown in this role he was given the opportunity to accept a new challenge as Repatriation Specialist at Albin International.

Danny is a respected and valued member of the team.

Alessandra Riva

Repatriation Specialist

Alessandra has been arranging repatriations since 2004 and joined our company in 2007. After graduating in Milan in 1993 she moved permanently to the UK where she gained considerable experience as a freelance translator for small companies, as well as HR officer in corporate environments such as Fiat and Citigroup. Alessandra is also trained in Cognitive Psychotherapy and speaks Italian and French.

Edita Petraityte

Repatriation Specialist

Edita joined the company having worked as a translator for a firm of solicitors. Prior to this she worked in the Consular department of the Embassy of Lithuania, in London.  She speaks Lithuanian, Russian, Ukraine, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian fluently.

Michael A. Gill

Repatriation Specialist

Michael has been a key member of the company since 1985, taking over the mantle of head of export repatriation department in 1994.  He was the former Kenyon Air Transportation Quality and Service Manager.  Michael also speaks Thai.
