November News Update

09.11.2011

Hello Everyone

It’s me – still alive and well in deepest Bermondsey. Can you believe it’s November already?

I do love the autumn and as 11/11/11 approaches, we are thrown into a time of remembrance and mourning. Significantly for us this year and just as we leave for Afghanistan to bring another soldier home to his family, we are planting the most beautiful tree in our garden in memory of all those lost in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. This will be officially opened in conjunction with London Borough of Southwark, at our Memorial Service on Wednesday 7th December, starting at 7pm.

Please be sure to come – All are welcome and remember it’s your attendance that makes it special. We are hoping for decent weather this year for this very special service.

Our new fleet has now been with us for the last month and is settling in nicely as we get used to the new technology. The vehicles are really wonderful.

We are just a few days away from moving across the road to Neptune Street with our International Department which will be moving from Bayswater, so it’s a very exciting time for everybody here.

I am looking forward to attending a number of charity dinners, one this evening with the RAF, a special ‘Ship York’ evening at The Hilton, Docklands on 19th November and another on Friday 25th November at Millwall Football Club in aid of Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion – All great fun and for very good causes.

Well there’s no other news this month – no births or marriages and thankfully no deaths or ‘get wells’ to mention.

I look forward to seeing you all on 7th December and please remember to wrap up warmly.

Until then – Be good or be careful.

God Bless

Barry
