Albin’s History

You are here: Home > About Us > Albin’s History

An important responsibility for funeral directors is ensuring that the dead are transported safely to the place of burial or cremation. Where a long distance is involved, the arrangements are often complex and, over the years, specialist organisations have emerged to deal with the certification, legal formalities and practical issues involved.

Experience is therefore essential in this field, and the combination of two reputable companies Kenyon Repatriation (now Albin International Repatriation Ltd ) and F A Albin and Sons provides a wealth of experience.  Albin International is at the forefront of the repatriation of Human Remains. It operates on a worldwide basis.

Albin International’s experienced and multi-lingual staff give advice to families, and also funeral directors throughout the world, on documentation and procedures for the repatriation of coffins and ashes to and from the UK. The company also works on behalf of insurance companies who arrange the transportation and burial or cremation of those dying abroad.

Currently, Albin International has a contract with the Ministry of Defence for the repatriation to the UK of all fallen service men and women around the World.
